Individually and socially, the human well being depends primarily on economic performance and effective management. These are core disciplines which affect everybody. A person who understands them is always in demand in a wide range of human activities.
Economics is a major underlying principle of management. It provides an understanding of how processes of economic growth and change can be analyzed and used to forecast and influence economic development and policy at different levels. In conjunction with management studies, a sound conception and analytical framework is established, within which rational management and decision-making can occur.
The accountant is involved at all stages in the economic activity of organizations,
whether private or government. They design and manage the financial system of an
organization, and the information which they provide goes far beyond the organization
and its executives, to a variety of other users such as investors, creditors, government
agencies and banks. After completion of BSc Accounting and Finance, the graduates
may join ACCA at the professional stage. They are exempted from the Knowledge and
Skills modules. The combination of economics and management studies prepares students for careers in a wide variety of fields including business, the media, government services, finance and marketing
