HND in Art and Design is constructed to progressively enhance your knowledge and equip you with skills pertaining to art, design, fashion and creative media. You will be working on your own creative projects, which will allow you to put your ideas into practice and use your newly acquired skills to build a professional profile and portfolio for the creative industries sector, ensuring easy employment and self-employment options.
The credits gained on an HND are equal to the first two years of an undergraduate programme, a lot of universities in the United Kingdom and internationally can offer you a seat on the third or final year of a degree course (rather than making you start at the beginning).
BTEC Higher National Diplomas are widely recognised in all major countries including the UK and are also accepted globally by universities as equivalent to first two years of the undergraduate programme providing more opportunities to students as compared to local or other foundation programmes.
Students have the option to top up HND to the final year of an undergraduate degree programme; BA (Hons) at over 150 universities worldwide of your choice. The students can search for their own choice of universities and/or degree programme via the Pearson BTEC platform called ‘ Degree Course Finder ‘
The HND programme is also significantly more affordable and students are given merit-based scholarships. At ICE, students are given the flexibility (where required) to attend online/blended sessions. The programme is delivered face-to-face and via flexible learning to help the students study as per the schedule of their choice.
Pearson BTEC Higher Nationals have been designed to equip their students to meet the challenges in the professional environment of their choice. Recognised by employers and universities, the HND programme not only provides academic knowledge, but gears up the students to work in the market.
