Universal College Islamabad (UCI) has recently entered into an agreement with Monroe College, New York, USA to be its partner institute in Pakistan. UCI will be offering Monroe College study programs in Pakistan: the first session of MBA is being offered from September 2022.

Monroe College (MC) MBA is a 2-year qualification (4 semesters) being offered at Universal College Islamabad (UCI) campus. It is a gateway to American higher education.

The students can go to MC, New York campus in their second year to complete their MBA after studying their first year (1st and 2nd semester) at UCI, Islamabad. MC and UCI will assist their students by providing them with necessary support to the application for study visa (F1) to USA.

The college has engaged STEPS (Solutions to Enhance Professional Skills) to facilitate students in preparation of visa application and interviews at the embassy.

MBA Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor degree (16 years of education) i.e. BBA, BSc (Hons), BS, from any HEC-recognized university. However, students of ACCA, CA, Engineering, MBBS, LLB, etc. are also accepted but they may require some foundation courses.
  • Copy of educational credentials (preferably with 3.0 CGPA.
  • Students awaiting final degree/results can also apply.
  • Essay: Please write an original one-page essay stating why did you chose Monroe College? What are your goals and expectations of the program and what do you hope to gain from it? Minimum of 500 words.
  • Proof of English Proficiency: TOEFL (80), IELTS (6+), ESL Certificate, Duolingo (105), PTE (60).
  • Two letters of recommendation from college professors/employers
  • A copy of latest resume covering highlights of achievements/work/experience/ internships etc.

How to Apply for Admission

  • Download the application form from UCI website
  • The applicant needs to submit UCI application form along with the copies of educational certificates (to be attested by the UCI authority) i.e Mark Sheet/transcripts, Degree, Proof of English Proficiency, copy of student & father / guardian / sponsor CNIC/Passport, 4 colored passport size pictures.
  • Application will be evaluated by UCI admission panel.
  • UCI admission office will schedule an interview with the student. The student needs to bring original educational certificates/documents at the time of interview.
  • After successful interview, the student will deposit UCI MBA application and admission fee.
  • UCI will upload student’s application to Monroe College admission portal to obtain an offer letter.
  • After accepting the offer letter from Monroe College, the student will pay UCI and MC fees one week before the start of semester.

F-1 Student Visa Requirements for MBA Students

Mode of Education and Delivery of Program

The classes will be held at UCI and the lecturers will be delivered by the faculty members of UCI and MC. The UCI faculty is highly educated and experienced, approved by MC and have been interacting with the subjects specialists. Some of the courses will be taught by MC Professors online.

UCI will implement MC Learning Management System (LMS) comprising Blackboard, Collaborators and Attendance System. UCI faculty will not only teach they will also check and mark the assignments, test and quizzes. It is a continuous assessment system and will run parallel to that of MC campus.

Monroe College will appoint one of the faculty members as Mentor for UCI students to help them out. Students will have access to their own Learning Management System (LMS), enabling them to see their academic progress on the portal and access to e-library, e-books, articles, journals and past papers.
